When print becomes art

Imagine a painting that reflects so lifelike from the paper that you can almost feel the layer of paint with your finger. A photo that not only reminds you but also takes you back to the moment. An illustration that is not only beautiful but also breathes. This is the world of giclée printing.

The giclée print – not just printing, but recreation

The giclée (pronounced: zhi-clay) is a premium printing process used by the world’s leading museums and galleries to reproduce artworks. The word comes from the French verb gicler, meaning „to spray.” It got its name from the precise and meticulous operation of inkjet printing: the printer sprays microscopic-sized droplets of pigment onto the surface of paper or canvas.

Giclée printing is not mass production – it is the pinnacle of artistic printing.

What technology is used?

In giclée printing, a special high-resolution inkjet printer is used, which works with at least 8, but often 12 different colors of pigment-based ink. This should not be confused with the water-based, fading inks of home printers.

What makes it special:

  • Archival quality papers or canvas (acid-free, long-lasting).
  • The print has a resolution of at least 300 DPI, but we often work above 1200 DPI.
  • The colors’ depth and transitions are stunning, with no pixelation.

Who and what do we recommend the giclée print for?

? For artists

If you want to reproduce your original work in a limited edition without compromising on quality. Each copy can be signed, numbered, and certified.

? For photographers

For fine art photo exhibitions, gallery material, or exclusive gifts. A giclée print elevates your photographs to a new level.

? For wedding couples

You can capture the most beautiful moments of the big day in timeless quality. A giclée print does not fade like simple photo paper.

? For gift seekers

If you want to give something special that will be cherished for a lifetime. Whether it’s a personal graphic, a family portrait, or a unique illustration – giclée guarantees a premium effect.
